Career Passport:
Customized Job Training Programs Career Passport Logo

Our signature product, “Career Passport” is a therapeutic model of job training for at-risk populations that allows instructors or counselors to combine proven business tools with work related counseling and psycho-education. The model and curriculum has been customized for the Federal Department of Labor, Department of Justice, Chicago Housing Authority, the Chicago Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development and others. The model serves:

  • Re-entry clients, women or men,
  • Chicago Housing authority residents
  • Men with UUW charges
  • Survivors of domestic violence
  • At-risk youth
  • Transitioning homeless

Participants un-learn and replace survival and addictive logic with learning logic and career identity. Business lessons teach how to connect with supervisors, convey reliability and professionalism, and quantify business value despite having little or no work history. Action learning and expressive therapy elements keep even distracted participants engaged and bought in.

Each trainee receives:

  • a strength based skill assessment to present employers
  • time management and weekly goals sheets
  • advanced active listening tools
  • resume, career maps, and networking tools
  • custom business cards for job seekers
